One afternoon in the summer of 2023, my friend Jake and I lamented that topics worthy of conversation so often arise in thought but are abandoned before they can find a place and time to be discussed. We’ve since decided to gather these lost trains of thought in the form of written correspondences which we discuss at regular intervals. As follows are my collective writings, marked by the date they were discussed.
Index
- 27 August 2023, about indigeneous science, public speaking, inheriting familial beliefs, antinatalism, mind-reading and microclimates.
- 24 September 2023, about the spread of primates, genetic bottlenecks, Dogor, and fluctuations in American religious participation.
- 30 September 2023, about Hyrcanian forests, the platypus, modern philosophy, and projections of a steep population decline.
- 29 October 2023, about Bayes’ theorem, Dené–Yeniseian and pandanus languages, ancient wood structures and the architecture of the human brain.
- Assorted subjects for an upcoming discussion.
